Data Deletion

You can stop Chatmate’s connection to an Instagram Professional account and request deletion of information stored by Chatmate. Chatmate is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta or Instagram.

Disconnect an Instagram account

1. Sign in to the Chatmate workspace that connected the account.
2. Open Instagram accounts in the Channels section.
3. Choose Disconnect next to the account.

Disconnecting removes the stored connection credentials and stops Chatmate from syncing or acting for that account. It does not by itself submit a request to delete every copy of previously stored workspace or inbox information.

Request deletion of stored information

Email saeed.sql02@gmail.com with the subject Chatmate data deletion request. Include:

• The email address used for your Chatmate account.
• The workspace name.
• If the request concerns Instagram data, the connected Instagram username.
• A short note identifying whether you want workspace data, Instagram inbox data, or both deleted.

We may contact you to verify that you control the workspace. Do not include your password, Instagram password, access token, or app secret. After verification, the request is handled manually by the service operator; you will receive a reply at the email address used for the request.

Remove Chatmate’s access in Instagram

You can also review and remove connected apps in Instagram’s Apps and Websites settings. Removing access there helps stop future API access. To request deletion of information already stored in Chatmate, send the email request above as well.
